History
The last name HAWA is a generational name in the music instruments sales in Lebanon, going all the way back to the 1960s when Cesar Hawa opened his vinyl records , electronics and music shop in Jeanne D'arc street in Beirut.
He established and registered the TOP 20 Records Brand and was the appointed dealer for Crumar (keyboards), FBT (sound systems), Giaccaglia (accessories and keyboards), Melody (Accessories), Galli (Strings), Baldwin Pianos.
In the end of the 1980's, the sons of Cesar (Nicolas and Salim) opened a store ETS Cesar Hawa & Sons in Adonis Round About near saint Antonios Church and later on branches at the main jounieh highway and hankash and Mekalles.
The Jean D'arc shop was closed in the late 1980s, as Cesar Hawa moved to Adonis/Zouk mosbeh area. Unfortunately, in the early 1990s, Cesar Hawa passed away.
The sons Nicolas and Salim continued to serve and grow the music industry in Lebanon, with being the appointed dealers for major brands like Gibson (Guitars and Strings) in the 1990s, Gem / General Music Keyboards, Hoffmann Pianos, ...
In 2008, the sons of Cesar decided to part ways by agreement and run separate stores as independently owned and operated.
